A c\u00f4t\u00e9 des espaces grandioses que sont le Centre Georges Pompidou, le Palais de Tokyo et la Fondation Cartier, qui connaissent depuis longtemps une renomm\u00e9e internationale, la capitale fran\u00e7aise abrite une grande quantit\u00e9 de petits \u00e9tablissements priv\u00e9s qui proposent une large palette d&#39;oeuvres d&#39;artistes contemporains. Un de ces \u00e9tablissements qui jouit d&#39;une forte popularit\u00e9 chez les habitants de la capitale est connu sous le nom de la Maison Rouge. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 ouvert au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 2000 \u00e0 l&#39;initiative de l&#39;homme d&#39;affaires Antoine de Galbert. En \u00e0 peine plus de 10 ann\u00e9es d&#39;activit\u00e9, ce lieu est vraiment devenu culte pour les Parisiens amateurs d&#39;art contemporain. L&#39;artiste Antoine Perp\u00e8re fait office de commissaire de l&#39;exposition. Notons qu&#39;avant de se consacrer aux arts plastiques, Antoine Perp\u00e8re a travaill\u00e9 comme infirmier dans un centre de d\u00e9sintoxication, autant dire qu&#39;il conna\u00eet bien le th\u00e8me de l&#39;interaction entre art et drogues. Il a d&#39;ailleurs organis\u00e9 une exposition analogue intitul\u00e9e \u00ab\u00a0Arts psychoactifs\u00a0\u00bb \u00e0 la galerie marseillaise \u00ab\u00a0Artcade\u00a0\u00bb il y a de cela deux ans.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">Lors du discours d&#39;ouverture, A.Perp\u00e8re a attir\u00e9 l&#39;attention sur le fait que les artistes, se trouvant toujours \u00e0 la recherche de nouvelles voies, ne peuvent pas r\u00e9sister \u00e0 la tentation de tester les effets des narcotiques. Pour nombres d&#39;entre eux, les psychotropes sont une sorte de porte vers le monde de l&#39;imagination. s&#39;ouvre sur une petite esquisse du psychiatre Jean-Martin Charcot dessin\u00e9e sous l&#39;emprise du hachisch, le spectateur est alors confront\u00e9 \u00e0 une grande vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de formes artistiques\u00a0: des photographies, des installations sculpturales et des ouvrages d&#39;artistes. L&#39;exposition, qui comprend environ 250 \u0153uvres, frappe tout d&#39;abord par son \u00e9tendue et sa diversit\u00e9. Au fur et \u00e0 mesure qu&#39;il traverse les salles, le spectateur se familiarise litt\u00e9ralement avec la face cach\u00e9e de l&#39;art de figures cultes du XXe si\u00e8cle telles que Francis Picabia, Antonin Artaud, Stanislaw Witkiewicz et Jean Cocteau. En outre, sur les murs figurent p\u00e9riodiquement des citations int\u00e9ressantes sur les relations des artistes \u00e0 la drogue\u00a0. Par exemple, un extrait du Dictionnaire du surr\u00e9alisme\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0 Marcel Duchamps et Yves Tanguy prirent un jour un peu de coca\u00efne pour se donner le courage d&#39;aller, pour la premi\u00e8re fois, voir Andr\u00e9 Breton, qui ne comprit rien \u00e0 leur discours\u00a0\u00bb. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">Il convient de mentionner ici le film de Ben Russel, film\u00e9 en temps r\u00e9el et en un seul plan\u00a0: la cam\u00e9ra est fix\u00e9e sur une jeune femme qui a pris du LSD et montre de mani\u00e8re impartiale les transformations qui se produisent sur son visage. Pour les organisateurs, cette vid\u00e9o est une transition entre les deux parties de l&#39;exposition. Si dans les premi\u00e8res salles les substances narcotiques sont pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es comme une source d&#39;inspiration, la deuxi\u00e8me partie de l&#39;exposition r\u00e9v\u00e8le leur v\u00e9ritable nature destructrice. Le spectateur se retrouve face \u00e0 des photographies de Larry Clark, Alberto Garc\u00eda-Alix et Antoine d&#39;Agata. En se rendant au rez-de-chauss\u00e9e, le spectateur peut observer un grand nombre d&#39;autres travaux, qui tourne tous d&#39;une mani\u00e8re ou d&#39;une autre autour du m\u00eame th\u00e8me. On y trouve de tout\u00a0: des portraits de personnes sous emprise du LSD aux affiches des marques de luxe utilis\u00e9es dans les campagnes publicitaires sur la toxicomanie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">Dans l&#39;ensemble, on peut dire que les pi\u00e8ces expos\u00e9es \u00e0 la Maison Rouge sont tout \u00e0 fait estimables et dignes d&#39;int\u00e9r\u00eat. Cependant je doute qu&#39;aucune d&#39;entre elles ne puisse pr\u00e9tendre \u00eatre une \u0153uvre de g\u00e9nie absolue. La question se pose alors de savoir si l&#39;artiste est capable d&#39;inventer et de d\u00e9couvrir des nouvelles perspectives dans un \u00e9tat second.
