Une certaine ressemblance physique avec le tsar Alexandre 1er, mort \u00e0 Taganrog et enferm\u00e9 dans un cercueil scell\u00e9 (voil\u00e0 qui excite l'imagination!), le secret dont entourait soigneusement ses origines Fiodor Kouzmitch, tout cela nourrissait l'id\u00e9e qu'Alexandre n'\u00e9tait pas mort, avait quitt\u00e9 le tr\u00f4ne et s'\u00e9tait retir\u00e9 pour vivre une vie de juste.<\/div>\n
Un pr\u00eatre du lieu, Ioann Alexandrovskii, qui avait servi un temps \u00e0 P\u00e9tersbourg, avait reconnu en Fiodor Kouzmitch le tsar Alexandre 1er. Semion Khromov, un marchand qui offrit le g\u00eete au starets \u00e0 la fin de sa vie, appuya cette th\u00e8se. Le starets connaissait bien l'histoire russe, les langues \u00e9trang\u00e8res, \u00e9voquait souvent la guerre de 1812, s'y connaissait visiblement en politique et savait d\u00e9m\u00ealer les pratiques de la cour. Peu avant sa mort, il dit, parlant d'une bourse qu'il avait toujours sur lui et dans lequel il y avait deux mots cod\u00e9s : \u00ab l\u00e0 est mon secret\u00a0\u00bb. D\u00e9chiffr\u00e9s, ces mots ne sont pas assez explicites pour \u00e9clairer l'origine du starets et leur lecture pr\u00eate \u00e0 interpr\u00e9tation; l'authenticit\u00e9 m\u00eame en est contest\u00e9e. L\u00e9on Tolsto\u00ef lui-m\u00eame s'est int\u00e9ress\u00e9 \u00e0 la vie de Fiodor Kouzmitch. Il commen\u00e7a \u00e0 \u00e9crire un r\u00e9cit autour de sa personnalit\u00e9, mais ne mena pas son projet \u00e0 terme. Il pr\u00eatait peu de cr\u00e9dit \u00e0 la ressemblance du starets et du tsar. Mais il \u00e9tait attir\u00e9 par l'id\u00e9e de rupture volontaire d'avec le monde, id\u00e9e qui visiblement le travailla aussi.<\/div>\n
Apr\u00e8s les nombreux chercheurs et historiens qui se sont cass\u00e9s les dents sur ce myst\u00e8re, Marc Jeanson a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de tenter d'y voir clair. Il tourne en ce moment un film documentaire \u00ab\u00a0le secret du tsar\u00a0\u00bb, consacr\u00e9 \u00e0 cette \u00e9nigme de l'histoire russe. Le tournage se d\u00e9roule en France, Moscou, St-P\u00e9tersbourg, Tomsk. Il pense donner la parole \u00e0 des historiens russes et fran\u00e7ais, des descendants de la famille Romanov, des pr\u00eatres orthodoxes; il n'exclut pas d'interroger de simples habitants de Tomsk. A l'intention des sceptiques et des ombrageux, il produira des documents in\u00e9dits.<\/div>\n
